MORRO BAY, Calif. – An Erickson Sky Crane helicopter releases the SpaceX Dragon test article, inducing a tumble similar to what is expected in an emergency abort scenario, over the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Morro Bay, Calif. The test allowed engineers to better evaluate the spacecraft's parachute deployment system as part of a milestone under its Commercial Crew Integrated Capability agreement with NASA's Commercial Crew Program.
