
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – A remote-controlled aircraft flies during a competition with a unique set of sensors and software to conduct a mock search-and-rescue operation. The aircraft was assembled by a team of engineers from NASA's Kennedy Space Center. Teams from Johnson Space Center, Kennedy and Marshall Space Flight Center competed in the unmanned aerial systems event to evaluate designs and work by engineers learning new specialties.
