CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – At Fire Station 1 at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Fire and Rescue personnel salute or stand at attention during the 9/11 memorial dedication ceremony. Kennedy Fire and Rescue Services commemorated the 11th anniversary of 9/11 with a ceremony that included a minute of silence at 10:28 a.m., which was the moment of collapse of the north tower of the World Trade Center. Kennedy center-wide emergency units dispatched by Fire Control engaged in one-minute sirens, the new memorial was dedicated and the Honor Guard performed a flag-folding ceremony.
