CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- Former U.S. Senator and Mercury astronaut John Glenn awaits the start of the "50 Years of Americans in Orbit" presentation for employees at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The event also featured Mercury astronaut Scott Carpenter, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden and Kennedy Space Center Director Bob Cabana.
