CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex was selected by NASA on April 12, 2011, to permanently display space shuttle Atlantis. This initial design concept for the new exhibit showcases Atlantis as though it were "in flight." A groundbreaking ceremony for the future home of Atlantis was held Jan. 18.
