CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Near the Space Mirror Memorial at NASA's Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, a large plaque commemorates the crews of Apollo 1 and space shuttles Challenger and Columbia who lost their lives while furthering the cause of exploration and discovery. At left is Tara Gillam, manager of the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity at Kennedy.
