CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Rising higher in the morning sky, the sun puts a glow on the fog rising from the turn basin at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. A pelican has a front row seat for the spectacle. Kennedy is surrounded by water: the Banana River, Banana Creek, Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, all of which provide scenes of beauty and nature that contrast with the high technology and power of the center.
