KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. -- STS-120 Commander Pamela Melroy takes the stage with her shuttle crew on Launch Pad 39A for a media conference. The crew is at NASA's Kennedy Space Center to take part in terminal countdown demonstration test activities that include emergency egress procedures and a simulated launch countdown. Mission STS-120, which will carry the Italian-built U.S. Node 2 to the International Space Station, is targeted for launch on Oct. 23.
