Views of the Chandra telescope take with HDTV on STS-93
99-E-10023 (23 July 1999) --- The Chandra X-Ray observatory was recorded with the STS-93 HDTV Camcorder prior to its deployment from the cargo bay of the Space Shuttle Columbia. Separation of the giant telescope occurred only hours after the shuttle reached Earth orbit.
