Astronauts Sullivan and Ride synchronize their watches before liftoff

Sullivan, two of three mission specialists, synchronize their watches prior to ingressing the Space Shuttle Challenger on the launch pad at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). They are in the White Room leading to the entry hatch of the vertically configured spacecraft.
