
Astronaut Marcos Pontes, Brazilian Space Agency participant, and Brazil's first astronaut to go into space, greets personnel on hand at the Expedition landing site in Kazakhstan. The Expedition 12 crew members astronaut William S. McArthur, Jr., NASA commander and International Space Station science officer; and cosmonaut Valery I. Tokarev, Russias Federal Space Agency flight engineer and Soyuz commander returned to earth onboard the Soyuz TMA-7 spacecraft. Touch down was Sunday, April 9, 2006, in the steppes of Kazakhstan.
