
KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. - A crowd of 1,000 were on hand April 30, 2005, in Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s Apollo_Saturn V Center to witness the induction of three more astronauts into the elite Astronaut Hall of Fame. Here, the new inductees Bruce McCandless (second from left), Joe Allen and Gordon Fullerton are seated with Jim Kennedy (far right), who is director of Kennedy Space Center, and his wife, Bernadette. Recognized for their individual flight accomplishments and contributions to the success and future success of the U.S. space program, this elite group of inductees is among only 60 astronauts to be honored in the Hall of Fame and the fourth group of Space Shuttle astronauts named.
