KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. - The crew of the Space Shuttle Atlantis got some recent hands-on experience with equipment they will soon take into space. From left are Mission Specialist Piers J. Sellers, Ph.D.; a SPACEHAB technician; Mission Specialists Michael E. Fossum and Lisa M. Nowak; Pilot Mark E. Kelly; Commander Steven W. Lindsey; and Mission Specialist Stephanie D. Wilson. They are working with the SPACEHAB Oceaneering Enhanced Deployable (SHOSS-ED). The astronauts of the second Return to Flight mission, STS-121, were at the SPACEHAB facility in Cape Canaveral to participate in the Crew Equipment Interface Test (CEIT). This test allows the astronauts to become familiar with equipment they will be using on their upcoming mission. Mission STS-121 is scheduled to launch in July.
